Break In!

This morning, an unknown person was seen in front of a camper at 808 Arizona. Later, the resident at 808 found that his camper had been broken into through the windows and apparently they exited through the door. The neighbor across the street that seen the person in front of the camper said it was about 5:00am this morning and the person proceeded up to Hickam and then went left onto Hickam. He then lost sight of the person. The neighbor said it was too dark to see any details about the person.
Please watch your neighbors houses and if you see something like this, call the police. This constitutes "Suspicious Activity" and therefore a phone call to the police. There shouldn't be anyone walking around or lingering anywhere at this time of the morning in this manner. This is where we have to start opening our eyes and paying attention to what is happening around us.

THE WORD IS OUT

Monday I was approached but a W V resident asking about a cream color Chrysler 300 (Texas tag # 816 SJZ) that has been seen on Northwest Dr. on several occasions. The car would arrive at a house for a very short time; something would be handed off from the driver to the resident, and the car would leave.
The very same activity was occurring at 937 Guam St with the SAME cream colored Chrysler 300 2 to 3 time a week. After contacting PD on several occasions, I was informed that this individual is a known drug dealer in the Texarkana area known by the street name as Stubby. It appears that this individual moves from one location to another when he realizes the residents are paying too much attention and PD is patrolling the area on a very regular basis. This is what happened on Guam Street and is obviously now moved to other locations.
If you see any suspicious activity, call 911 and report it immediately. Do not be afraid to speak out. If you don't feel comfortable calling 911, call any of the block captains and we will be happy to report this activity.
As you can see the word is getting around and is slowly building, so grab another block and lets build the wall up to block out crime in OUR neighborhood.

Street Rights!

My husband just came back from getting our dinner and decided to take the short cut through Guam. Well, that was a bad idea. Apparently some of the tenants on that road believe that THEY have control over the road and that cars should stop so they may cross from one problemed house to another. He said about 20 feet in front of him a tall, skinny black male wearing a black tank top, a blue cap and "Baggie" jeans stepped out in front of his truck and held his hand up for him to stop so the guy could cross the road.
Folks, I've checked this out and the vehicles DO HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY! If this happens to you, please call and report it. The Wake Village police are aware of this problem and when we call it in, they do go and set them straight. They DO NOT have the right to linger in the road when traffic comes through. The Wake Village police have stressed to us the importance of calling in actions such as these. Make the call.

WORST OF THE WORST

"WORST OF THE WORST" WINNER
933 GUAM STREET

I took a drive around yesterday with my camera so that I could take some pictures of a few of the homes that are visual nuisances. I was looking for a winner of my new monthly picture post of the "Worst of the Worst". I found the perfect house to start it off.

The house is located at 933 Guam Street. The owner is Lewis Gildon. Mr. Gildon actually rented this house out to a single young girl. I've heard that she has had fight after fight with her boyfriend and he has beat her to the point of having to go to the hospital. I hear that she has vacated the premises as of right now but all of her stuff is left inside. These are the houses we have to work hard on. This owner should not be allowed to let this house remain in this condition, nor should he be allowed to rent this to any human being.

What can we do?? We can file a complaint against this home owner for his house being a nuisance house. A nuisance house is one that looks like this and YOU have to look at it from your home. Please file your complaint at Wake Village City Hall.

Wake Village Neighborhood Watch Group

This has been created for the citizens of Wake Village, Texas so that we may keep each other informed on the activities in our town whether they are good or bad. We started this neighborhood watch group earlier this year due to the increase in crime in our area.

Please feel free to post ANY information you may have about anything that is going on in our neighborhood.
